Bike To Work

December 20th, 2007 by dianpratama

bicycle is fun! healthy! and I cant stop talking and doing it.

After 2 months of bicycling, now i can go home under a very jakarta heavy rain and doesn’t get sick in the next morning. it keeps your apetite high but won’t gain weight. in 2 months i didnt get sick (no diare, cold, cough, sore throat, headache, etc)

It reduce cost too, no gas. less maintenance. and its fun because its challenging. to make it interesting you can challenge yourself such as
1. to get 25km a week, then 50km a week. Now I Bike to work
everyday, goes to my parents house at Bintaro from Kelapa
gading? no problem. over 400+Km/month or 100+km/week.
2. to reach and kept 30km/h (mountain bike) or 40km/h (road bike)
for 5 minutes, for 10 minutes? speed test. I can reach from Kelapa
gading to Pondok indah in 1 hour, cycling!
3. able to conquer uphils? try to cicyle over one of jakarta flyover
for the first time and you know what I am talking about. power
    test.

Then once your stamina is good, you can challenge your skills to do
XC (cross country), DJ (Dirt Jump) or a more extreme DH (Down hill)

all in all, the challenge is endless, you can challenge to go further, faster, better in your own pace. its like playing games, but its healthy and fun.

Its the best hobby that i’ve experienced in. hopefully i will never bored of it.

uh uh, btw, my wife doesn’t complain too. it will improve your sex life, your libido is higher and your performance is longer. hehe

After in love with my wife, then love for my son, now love for my bike. My new hobby.

Bike is much more fun then cars, :-), Never too late to own a bike, especially your dream bike. feel the wind, feel the speed, the accelaration, the sound of those engine, the power between your legs, the look and attention others gave to you when you stop in front of them.

Bike is more fun. Better than chocolate, altough sex is still better. But still, bike is fun.

brummmm.

No private life

September 19th, 2005 by dianpratama

once you re married, you have no private life, everything is shared.

If you used to have long weekend just for yourself, just be prepared that
you weekend will be fulled, for your wife, your families and friends.

Sigh…I just realized that I have spent almost a month of weekends but
never spent a single 1 weekend just for myself.

well… the bright side, I am happy. THough I never spent a weekend just
for me, but its still fun!

lunch time. better go!

well… what can I say, for the first 2-3 weeks, the fun is there, still enjoying it as a husband. It is nice to have a wife.

Last week, I become a team leader for the Company Picnic of my company, i got to bring my wife along, free of charge, the beach party, swimming in the middle of the ocean, Taman laut, having Seafood BBQ, tons of prizes. Priceless, its like paid honeymoon.

thats all I can say at this point. Back to work

Getting Married?

9 more days and I am married, to be honest, I feel more relax now, compare to
last week, probably because it is getting closer and not much I can do.

Just want to get this over with, so I can concentrate back to work…
I guess I am feeling wedding jitters or stomach butterflies after all.

Wish me luck guys! and girls!

Getting Married

July 3rd, 2005 by dianpratama

Getting married is hard. I think its getting harder every generation passes. It used to be alot easier in the old days, i think. Not to mentioned it has many project owners, but only few project sponsor.

And to make it worst, every marriage endavour is unique, different than the other, you can’t possibly copied other wedding plan and use it as your own. The situation will be different. I guarantee you that.

But I think, beside all of the downhills, I think it is great. Why else every one of us wants to get married in the first place.

Just remember, getting married is only a day, a night. Being married took a life time. So don’t get too focused and hung up on the "wedding"

I’m still pretty busy, building a house, as well as preparing for my wedding. The money seems to dissapear in an instant.
